Summary of Japan-Bosnia Relations, 1996-2005

Bosnia’s birth from the break-up of the former Yugoslavia was covered by the Japanese press as it was around the world. Since that time, the main avenue of the bilateral relationship has revolved around Japanese economic aid to the young country.

Economic and Trade Relations

There is very little trade between Japan and Bosnia. In 2004, each country exported goods valued at just over US$1 million to the other.
